Call me stupid, but what was "The Signing"?  Was this a gathering where Tim signed or engraved tools?  I see what looks like an electric engraver in the first photo.  What was the occasion?

Yes it was. He was at Leatherman's first retail store, which opened last week.

I should have paid attention to the date...I was in Seattle on Sept. 1st and could have easily driven down to Portland in the afternoon to get a tool signed...I screwed up again.  The good news is I did not need to decide which tool to have signed!
