What did you buy your people for Christmas.  By that I mean the people that you normally buy gifts for?

Digital Camera for the wife.

New driver for Dad

Really nice moccasins for my mom

Surefire flashlight for my stepdad.

I also bought a rocketgrill for my brother.

I went a little nuts buying gifts for family and friends last year so I toned it down this year.

Mom: Very nice quilt, imported incense.

Dad: Nothing yet, I'm thinking some sort of small multi for him, maybe a Guppie.

Brothers 1/2/3: Nerf guns, remote control tanks, and some cool balsa rubber band powered kits.

Sister: Some DVDs she wanted and some books.

Girlfriend: A new bag (purse) my mother is custom making her.

Friends: Not too much yet, really need to get on the ball about gifts for them. I only have four more people to buy for though.

Seems that most everyone buys at least one multi for one of their friends or family.  I feel depressed now. :(

I'll will give to my wife the 80 lumens LED flaslight as soon as I receive the package from Calvin. This is one of the items that I won from the "Holiday Give-away" contest. My wife is a nurse and she works on shift and she needs a flaslight in case of power failure while on duty. For my 4 kids, I will just give them money so they can buy any items (not expensive) they want for Christmas.

I couldn't agree more.  My nephews are about 1500kms away so I like to get all kinds of toys that my sister in law wouldn't approve of!

I could see that now.  Some kid opens a nicely wrapped gift and pulls out a dummy grenade. :)

My sister-in-laws little brother was over at my mothers house a few years ago and he looked borred.  I took him downstairs where my mom keeps all of the toys that my brother and I had when we were growing up.  Digging through the box I came up with an old crossman pellet revolver which used to be mine.  I gave it to him and told him that he could have it.  My sister in law was PISSED that I had given him a toy gun.  Even though it was a toy without a CO2 cartridge and pellets.  People are strange.

Naw, nothing as funny as a dummy grenade, but a sit on top fire truck with blaring siren and flashing lights is pretty close to the top of the list!  >:D

I got a ResQme for my father, a German Santoku knife for my mother, a travel mug for my older sister (not much, but she's been wanting one), and a Light My Fire spork for my younger sister (because she's always using mine).

Yeah, it is a good thing that you live far far away from that house. :)
