Fenix (or other higher end brand) flashlight running off of C or D-cell batts?

Did I dream about hearing a Fenix light (it might've been a different middle range brand) coming out with a C or D cell LED flashlight?  I know Maglite makes some, but I could've sworn another company was stepping into the action.

The Lumapower Mentor uses 1 or 2 C cells.  I have one, not bad.  Pretty nice choice.

Yup, the TK60 (and TK70); why can't they make just a moderately bright (but long run time) 2-3 C or D cell light?

Yeah they do have a new d cel light out.  Can't remember what it's called?  Anyhow
their website should show.  My problem with a light like that is I run rechargeables
and the rechargeable market isn't set up to any large degree with
rechargeables in d cel config.

Well I found a 2 D-cell Fenix, the TK50, which looks interesting.  I'm thinking about getting one next year (as a "I paid off my student debt" gift) so as to diversify my flashlight battery options.

I just read your review on the Mentor from 2009.   Also, what's up with Lumapower's website?  It looks worse than what Countycomm had.
