MP 450.

I did not know this existed until a few months ago. I was able to score this combo off of eBay along with the Gerber frame lock.

The MP400 is more my speed because of the scissors.

How much did you pay? Amazon had the set for $35 not to long ago. It might of even been $25 or $30 I cant quite remember. They are $40 at the moment but they should go back down.

I am not trying to be rude at all just wondering.  :salute:

I got my MP450 in a trade here with Mercury. It's my first Gerber, and it's also been my go-to tool of late. I absolutely love it. The file comes in handy a fair amount, much more than I thought it would. For scissors, I always have at the very least my Executive on me as well, so it's not an issue. That tool has taught me that despite what some people think, not all Gerbers are crap.
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D

I think some of the gerbers are made in the US still.  The newer type models like the fit balance and the octane are made off shore but I think some of the mp tools may still be made in portland.

Last February I bought that same combo from Fry's Electronics for (IIRC) about $24.00.  Printed on the package about the MP450 was something like, "Made in USA from US and imported materials."  I don't care too much for the knife, but I rather like the MP.
