I was wondering if anyone could verify that this is an 84mm Climber?  I just won it on ebay for a little over $5 shipped so I thought it was worth a shot.  Thanks for your help!

Looks like a 91mm to me. Can't tell but I'm pretty sure it's not 84 :(. Nice one either way.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Late 1980s 91mm Climber for sure. Definitely not 84mm, sorry.

Do you mind if I ask what distinguishes this from and 84mm model just by sight?

Thanks

I'm sure there are other things but I look at the length of the bottle opener and for the subtle changes to the shape of the scissors handles.

I can't tell from the can opener unless they are side by side (and I've got an easier way then), but the shield is the same size the 91s and 84s, it is a nice fast way of scaling. And the 84mm scissors are profiled a little differently.
