I see Kevlar thread but no needle? I think you could use this....

That's a great idea and I might nick that for the wallet set up  :tu: There's literally no room left in the tin - even for something as small as that. The Kevlar cord is a bit thick as thread too - more kind of emergency cordage. It would work well wih the awl on the Wenget PTC on the gadget ring, but that's a different package which may or may not be available at the time  :-\ Other option would be to do what I did in my Altoid tin repair kit for long hikes which is simply duck tape a leather needle to the underside of the lid  Even then I'd need to be very careful on the location - space really is that tight now if I want the lid to shut properly  :D

So what is that yellow rubber band thingy, and where do I get one? :)

I got mine here ... http://www.survivaldepot.co.uk/High_Tech_Ranger_Bands/p474753_3500942.aspx

I've seen those before (and had good experience with that store too  :tu: ) but pocket carry wins for me. The pouch is something I might consider for a long hike, but generally pocket carry means less snags and less attention/annoying questions

Me too. I've still not seen any cinnamon ones in a shop yet though, only online

A mate of mine turned up some Wintergreen flavoured ones, they were lovely.  Most of Altoids market is in the US though and we really don't get the full range apparently. :-\

Well at least we can eat the normal ones and refill the tin with something more exotic (albeit less edible) afterwards :D

I'm now seeing EDC Source selling altoids tins

Yeah, but who's going to eat the Altoids first? :D

Not me!

Look at these from County Comm. Unpainted, higher grade, double weight steel, Altoids sized tins:

Industrial Strength Survival Food Grade Tin

It's much more fun eating sweeties beforehand though  :D

I have a plan! You buy bucket loads of Altoids in as many flavours as you can, and ship them over here. Me and Gareth will then scoff all the contents for you and ship the empties back  :tu: :D :D :D

We won't even charge you for the service  :P :D :D :D

Looking at all of your carry options al, I cannot see any cable ties. Surely you could fit in a couple somewhere?

Guilty as charged mate ... but only with pocket carry  ;)
I've got a few in my rucksack - and yes I have needed one occasionally
Added to the list of stuff for the Micro EDC organiser pouch though  :tu: still building that set up - I'll have worn the bugger out before it's finished

I did a few tweaks and I'm much happier with the result. Here's the whole ensemble laid out

(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)

Leatherman Mini
Leatherman Micra
Victorinox Harvester
DX Fauxton
Mini Reel of 200lb breaking straing Kevlar cord
True Utility Telepen
True Utility Slimclips
Gerber Shard

Packed away in the right order there's hardly any rattle, yet the tin isn't strained in any way. The lid clips shut nicely and the ranger band makes sure it stays that way till I need to get in  :D

(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)

I appreciate there's no quick deployment options here, but the purpose of this is having the maximum options in the minimum package for when I'm away from car and backpack without losing too much function. The capabilities of this little toolbox are mammoth, yet the whole package isn't much bigger than my frequently carried gadget ring

(Image removed from quote.)

... and while we're on the subject ...

(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)

Wenger Pocket Tool Chest
DX mini petrol lighter
True Utility Eyeglass
Uncle Bills Silver Grippers
4 Sevens Preon Revo
Inka Pen

Everything other than the light is detatchable for ease of use. Trying to fix my glasses for example with the whole bundle clattering about isnt fun. There were a few other little things I had hoped to include in the mix, but I discovered this lot fits very comfortably in my wallet alongside the usual cash and cards

(Image removed from quote.)

Fisher Stowaway Pen
Whistle
12" Duck Tape (backed)
1Gb Flash Drive
True Utility Twistick
AG Russel Ultimate Penknife
Titanium Spike
Victorinox Classic
4X Fresnel Lens

I love little kits like this and value them as part of my day to day activities as much as I do a full sized multitool. These are winning combos in my book, and while the wallet and tin arrangements are fairly young, they have both been comfortably carried and have proved very handy indeed  :tu:
How do you keep all these stuff in your wallet !?!?!?
I need some pics from inside you wallet to understand

The Fisher pen, Duck tape and fresnel lens drop into credit card pockets, and the rest fits neatly into a zippered coin pocket. When everything is in place there's not much to see, just the brassed clip on the pen, and it's still fairly flat and even :tu:

Anyone see the Leatherman gift tin that the Style PS comes in?  I'm not sure of the dimensions but it appears to be a bit deeper than an Altoids tin.  CountyComm also has quite a bit of odds and ends that you could put in a Altoids survival tin.  They sell this tape called Extreme Tape, that looks similar to electricians tape but only sticks to itself.  It's great for sealing a tin once you have the contents you want inside.  I don't think CountyComm ships overseas but I remember reading that there is a store that sells the same products in the UK?  I'm not positive on that though.

If I take photos of them all in place, you'll not see much. I'll try to take some with the items sat on top of (or poking out of) the pocket they go in over the weekend  :tu:

Here we go. Cards and personal items removed for obvious reasons ...

Told you there wasn't much to show  :D

Fresnel lens and duck tape poking out of their hidey holes

The rest sits in the coin pocket

Here's how they are arranged inside the pocket, keeping the wallet nice and flat  :tu:

Do you carry your wallet in your front or back pocket?
Wallet and light - front left - Gadget ring would go in same pocket if carried
Knives and tools and lighter (or tin) - front right
Only thing that tends to sit in back pocket is a Buff or hanky

Yea I figured it would be in a front pocket as it looks like it might be a bit uncomfortable to sit on.

It's really not that bulky at all. I wouldn't sit on my wallet normally because I wouldnt want to break anything in it, and it's a lot easier for a wallet to be lost or "lifted" from a back pocket in my mind

http://www.endtimesreport.com/survival_shop.html has a lot of CountyComm items and will ship internationally.
