New EDC Drawer
on: October 17, 2011, 02:48:41 AM
I cleaned out the infamous "junk drawer" today, and thought it would make a great storage location for my EDC gear. Located in our bedroom, it should be easy to open up every morning and select the gear for the day ahead. I emptied out my briefcase of some of its tools & lights just for the pic, and took the key ring tools off. Keys & phone are missing here. Inside the wood box is an array of misc. pocket tools, key chains, off brand pocket knives, memory cards, and pens.  Most of the stuff is identifiable but if you don't know, just ask!

I wish my junk drawer looked that good.I would have to wear one of those hazard suits if I attempted to clean mine.

Most definitely a chore trying to get all the junk out and finding a new home for it, if I still needed it at that point.

Great looking EDC drawer you have there. I recently grabbed up all the tools I usually carry and threw them into a kids pencil box in my desk drawer. I guess its a start to getting things organized.  :D

Looks like you've got enough room left in that drawer for maybe a small shelf type thing?
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Most definitely, no where near max volume. It's about 6.5" deep. But right now, everything fits, and I'm not supposed to buy any more gear. But if the day comes that I need more separation from knives, MTs, and lights, a little shelf unit would be the way to go!
