He's been selling a bunch of them. And oddly most of them looked like they had busted blades.

Here's another one -  Viet Nam era Army issue. If any one was issuing that it was the other side.

I believe actual dope smokers would be offended by how dumb that is, but I wouldn't know.

They're high on something and it's not feedback (20).  I've been seeing a rash of overpriced goods there lately but when it really scares me is when its a 'top-rated seller'.

Generally he is a good seller, often his prices thoguh are too high, but many people pay them.  His shipping is also usually more reasonable; $17.50 for this item to the US which is crazy.  I think he has no idea what the price should be so he's checking if is main buyers of expensive knives have this model yet.

I had to over pay for a knife I wanted from him recently, and I bought a fair amount from him in the past when I was getting a good variety of 58mm colors.  Like I said he is actually a pretty good guy, but starts his prices high.  He seemed to have more reasonable prices in the past.

3 Vintage Swiss Army Knives with Mulitple Purpose Utensils Saw Blade Opener

Quote
Here are 3 Vintage Swiss Army knives...I believe they are Elinox and made in Switzerland....not entirely sure as these were my fathers and I am not seeing any markings but if you are a collector there are crosses on two of them...see pics. Multiple blades, knives, saw, can opener, scissors. Two are red and one is brown.

I think this is where I use the English double positive to mean a negative. "Yeah, right!"

Am I missing something with this one I can see its in decent condition and it is Victoria rather than Victorionox or elsener, which always seems to add a little bit ..... but it is such a bog standard swiss officer .... off to dig through my big box of old officers and see if I can list one on Dutch eBay :)

3 things pop out right off to me making this a desirable collectors piece;
  • Armee Suisse Tang stamp
  • Old style awl
  • Exposed rivet scales
  • old lobster claw can opener
Did I saw 4 things popped out at me?

Sure, but $350 seems like a lot of money to me. I have a horn scaled one just like that and that was... well it was a little cheaper ;)

Yes, it does seem somewhat high, but the law of supply and demand make for some strange selling prices sometimes. Also it being sold on the Dutch eBay means it had a different set of bidders than the normal.

This seems a bit high.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wenger-Delemont-Swiss-Army-Knife-Made-Switzerland-/170722351900?pt=Collectible_Knives&hash=item27bfd85b1c#ht_500wt_1031

maybe he mistyped  >:D $9,90 seems just about right for a Wenger Commander.

I think it goes for this whole thread. It only takes one fool to pay the price to make it worth it.

I've been getting some pretty crazy bidders on some of my ebay stuff too.  I just chalked it up to the holiday money spending.   I paid 12 GBP for this mora, and it sold for $152 USD.  Im not complaining, but it sure did shock me that bidding went that mad.
