I try to stay away from Lego's... It would be way to easy for me to blow a crap load of money on them   I freaking love Lego's...

I always liked the Bowel Disruptor Gun from the Transmetropolitan comic series. Seems like it would be the most dangerous weapon ever.

Hmmmm so many great choices. In no particular order:

Lightsaber (of course)
Double bladed Lightsaber (double the fun!)
That telekinesis guided starfish of doom from Krull
Predator's whole armor/weapon system set-up
Minbari fighting pike from Babylon 5 (I'd EDC that for sure)



And one of my all time fave's, I forget what the weapon was called, but in Peter F. Hamilton's Night's Dawn series those rapid fire, belt-fed grenade launchers with selectable ammo that the Kulu ESA G66 soldiers carried. Those things were just wicked.

Wasn't it though? Now that would be the perfect EDC. Small enough to fit in your pocket, blasts open (as was done more than once the opening itself was a weapon) and becomes a full sized fighting staff. And that sound? Yessir. I'll take two.

1. I'll second Wolverine's claws.

2. Dredd's Lawgiver, again seconding Miko. Rapid fire all the way.

3. Sonic wave pistol from Thor knows what book: basically, it pushes the other guy real hard. Can be either lethal or annoying.

4. Kroenen's swords from Hellboy. Not worth much without his reflexes, but hey, if I already have Logan's claws...

5. Predator's shuriken-looking thing. I actually drew up some sketches of a similarly shaped multi at one point. It had an option to spring everything open simultaneously. I called it the Predatool.

1.  Lightsabre - no questions, has to be the number one.
2.  Sword of Sparda - for those who have played Devil May Cry.  A bit speSmurfpillst I know.
3.  Boltgun - for those who like Warhammer
4.  Hellboy's Samaritan - "I'm not a very good shot, but this Samaritan here fires really big bullets..."
5.  Daemonhammer - another Warhammer one, but oh so cool.

I have always been into Sci-fi stuff.  I don't know how I missed this thread after it was resurrected There are plenty more choices I would have had if I had been given a little more than 5 on my list But I made do with that

So what are you to 5 favorite science fiction weapons

All time favorite SF weapons:

1) Mobile Infantry Powered Armor from "Starship Troopers" by Robert Heinlein - ultimate weapons system suit, impervious to small arms and packing firepower from bullets all the way up to tactical nukes.

2) Variable Sword from "Ringworld" (and others) by Larry Niven - extensible nanowire, variable length blade will cut through any matter it encounters, but fits in your pocket when retracted into its handle.

3) Phasers from the Original Star Trek - versatile weapon that can stun or kill; set to stun it would be superb for self defense.

4) Smart Bullets from "Marooned in Realtime" (and others) by Vernor Vinge - fire and forget pistol bullets whose internal guidance takes them unerringly to the selected target.

5) Electromagnetic Catapult from "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" by Robert Heinlein - used to pound sense into Earth's tyrannical government by 'throwing rocks' from the Moon down the gravity well to Earth - just because it's such a cool idea to get a tactical nuclear effect using a plain old boulder.
