I normally carry a nice standard Fisher space pen in tactical black, nice slim solid pen but have started to use these little goodies http://www.heinnie.com/Pens/Tombow-Pens/c-1-290-768/ Tombow Airpress and Tombow Pfit, while not heavy duty they're very light weight, compact and come in funky colours, maybe one to match or contrast with a SAK  The Airpress pen will right upside down like the Fisher space pen and the little Pfit has a great pocket clip. Both very cheap, even the refills, worth a look :tu:

I got myself a Pfit and I do like it, but I'm not sure I find it massively comfortable to write with for more than a short note.  I've also just got myself a Parker Jotter for the first time in years, Morrisons are selling them for £4.50 ATM, a couple of quid less than the going rate I think. :)
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Inka Pen (though refills are expensive).

The refills don't have to be expensive.  You can just pull the short ballpoint cartridge out of the plastic module and replace it with any multi-pen refill.  You may have to wrap the end of the cartridge with tape or add a drop of rubber cement to keep it in place, but it will work perfectly.  I use Fisher space pen refills in mine.

Thanks for the fantastic idea - the Fisher "multifunction" pen refills are a perfect fit, and 40% cheaper than Inka pen refills where I live.

Most of the time I carry a zebra 701, its robust and the refills are not expensive.

I would go with a fisher bullet pen. I got the one with a clip and stylus tip. It convienitly fits into the elastic loop on the Charge sheath I carry to work. Lately I have been using the pen more than the Charge. I guess that means I'm becoming more of a paper pusher... :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

I am with the Fisher Space pen as well couple of bullet pens and several full size Space pens great writing instrument, you can get a conversion kit for parker pens so you can use a fisher space pen refill in it instead, gonna swing by Morrisons in the morning and get me a Jotter as well for a backup me thinks.
I love my leatherman tools like I love my lady an kids !

I'd suggest this handy little pen:

It's full of survival items (fire-starting, water purification, clothing repair, first aid, snaring food, cooking food, signaling, direction-finding, food-flavoring, shelter building, note-taking/leaving, among others).
