Just out of curiosity, I checked in on what was going on there last night.  (Deleted my cookies first, etc. but didn't reregister...)  The particular thread in question seems to have devolved into a big shouting match more than anything else.  The few posts I saw criticizing other members posts weren't deleted, but all of the ones that had anything critical of 4Sevens were.  No surprise there.

I'm happy here.  :salute:

Yeah, pretty much.  I don't feel any need to reregister or log back in there.  I'll skim through once in a while to find out about anything interesting, but the friends I've made there I already keep in touch with via email, so I see no need to go back, at least for the time being.

Hey guys,

For what it's worth, I took a chance and ordered one of the new 4Sevens high CRI lights, a Preon 1.  I'm pleased to say it's a very nice light.  The tint is excellent; a bit warmer than I prefer (I'd guess it's about 3,200K) but still very nice.  The tint is a very rosy color, with no discernible green in it.  I liked it enough I ordered one of the 123 models as well, as it will Lego with my other Quark parts.  So if you like warm tinted lights, check out the new Quarks while they're still available.

The tints on these are still a little bit of a mixed bag - my HCRI Preon isn;t as nice a tint as my other HCRI lights. They're all 7A3 tint 90+ CRI emitters. Who knows what's in the Preon, but I think it's a 7B 85+. Not quite the same, but still good.

It's certainly nicer than the standard WW XP-G's.
