My wife really does not allow me to work with electricity. Not since the great clothes dryer incident of 2001. Did ya know ya got to unplug one before trying to change the powercord? By the way they are 220 volts. :ahhh

Been there my friend!

In my last job I connected up electric cookers and I made a mistake whick resulted in me touching the live wire ( on a cooker connection that aint good).  I felt it go up my arm and out my a*se as I was sitting on a concrete floor at the time.  I can also remember what reminded me of the taste when you put your tongue on a 9 volt battery.

Last summer while cutting up fallen branches, I screwed up big time and cut the end off the power cord to the chainsaw.

Highly embarrasing, although there was no one around to observe my stupidity.

After going inside and killing the power I began repairing the power cord using my Gerber Suspension.

My butt was sitting on a concrete driveway with my rubber boot soles resting on the grassy lawn.  My body and clothes were slightly sweaty from working outside in the heat.

As I squeeze the wirecutter to cut through the hot wire, I feel a very slight tingling in my hand.

"That's strange," I think, "feels like I've been lying on my arm for a while and it went to sleep."

I squeeze the Suspension's handles slightly harder and the tingle increases - instense tingling up my whole arm and across my entire ass in contact with the concrete.

I realize what's happening and relax my grip slightly and the tingling fades to barely perceptible.

Turns out someone (who will remain nameless) decided to "help out" by flipping the power back on without bothering to tell me.

Aren't people handy some times.  ::)

I learnt very quickly to only trust my own judgement in my last job and to always check when people said that they had switched things off.
I'm back!!

I nearly sliced tip of my index finger off with my kershaw storm, only thing stopped it was my thumb's finger nail right next to it, which took most of the force and was almost cut through. That was months ago and my index finger tip still feel slightly numb when touching things. And just today, the same knife took thick layer of skin off tip of my thumb and blood seeped out.

It sure is a sharp blood thirsty SOB.  :( And it's my current EDC.

I think I'd be tempted to retire that knife mate, or invest in steel gauntlets :D

Well you know what they say, a knife must taste its owner's blood to know him, or something like that.  ::)

Same with my finger, blood didn't come out till I realized what happened, put down the knife and ran into the bathroom.
