No pics as its all gone. I'm not that fond of turkey, so had a slow roasted lamb shoulder.

Made a rub with garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, rosemary and thyme, and rubbed it all over the lamb. Left in fridge overnight, then slow roasted for about 4 hours. Meat just falls apart.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

We did the turkey thing with all my sisters and their families at my mom and dads house. No pics, bt it was the usual, with mashed potatoes, stuffing, biscuits & gravy, cranberries, etc. :)

Ooooh, and homemade apple pie for dessert!

We had a traditional Christmas dinner, potatoes, gravy, pork roast ect... :)
The two roasts was cooked in the Weber outside.. Besides the excellent taste of Grill, the house
doesn't smell of roast for the next couple of days..

Here's the Pic..  ;)

Wish would have found this thread before i just finished dinner. But we had Prime Rib, Twice Baked Potatoes, and some Broccoli Casserole.

It was delicious.

Hope everyone had a good and safe Christmas!

My kids have really gotten into cooking in the last few years.  So, this holiday was a tour d'force of cooking:

First up, homemade fish and chips.  Tilapia with tempura batter and potato slices:

Friday evening dinner was homemade chicken pot pies and lemon meringue pie:

Next up: Saturday morning with fresh, homemade doughnuts, fried cinnamon rolls and apple fritters:

Christmas eve was a family tradition, Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes and corn WITH the addition of homemade lemon meringue pie:

Christmas dinner consists of beef tenderloin (done on the grill), green bean casserole and potatoes au Gratin:

It's been a full filling holiday. :D

I'm a member of a local outdoors forum. Every year they have a Christmas dinner in a forest part way up a mountain  :D

This year me and my son dropped by. They all stayed but we had to go home  :-\ This was a couple of weeks ago.

Not my pics

Mulled wine for all  :drink:

The mash did take a nose dive into the flames at one point but I don't like mash anyway  :D

Even a cheese board :D

All in a really great feast  :tu:

not the best picture but here it is:

Barbecued lamb (on the rotiserie)
Takes about 2 hours to cook.
Along the way we also grilled several sausages and slices of calfs liver.

My wife and I made a nice dinner for the in-laws this Monday (Boxing Day or Second Christmas Day):

First an amuse bouche made of duck, prune and cranberry:

Then another amuse bouche, a small carpaccio bonbon filled with a Mesclun, fresh herbs, lemon and pine nuts:

My sister in law and her boyfriend made three different types of soup and some bruschetta topped with salmon and tuna:

Then a puff pastry Christmas star filled with a Caprese salad:

The main course was turkey from the steam oven with cranberries, assorted vegetables (Brussels sprouts, haricots verts, mushrooms), bacon, pommes duchesse and a nice bread dressing (no picture):

My parents in law made a nice dessert with fresh fruit, delicous ice cream and a chocolate Santa :)

DELICIOUS!!! A shame I had to work early next morning :D

I hate mashed potatoes

I must have had a bad experience when younger. My family love them as do my wife, kids and all her family. I'm just the odd one out

I don't mind baked potato, roast potato or even the good old chip but not mash

Thanks! We had a great time preparing all that food. It took almost 2 days :ahhh
Part of it was inspired by master chef Rudolph van Veen who also has a cooking show on tv. He's not related to that red-nosed reindeer ;)
