New drill and vise to the rescue
on: December 28, 2011, 08:26:37 AM
If you guys remember the john deere victorinox knife I got I made a lanyard with a tractor for it. Well I also told you that with my dremel (only tool I owned at the time) I couldn't get through the diecast of the tractor so I built lanyard around tractor. I wasn't satisfied to say the least. So I thought about it today at work and decided when I got home I'd try using a big drill to get through. It worked like a dream. I used my new bench vise to hold tractor so I could drill through it. (I did this on the living room coffee table while my roomy slept.) :D photos tomorrow. :tu: I'm so proud of my new bench vise and 20v black and decker drill with 100 piece accessories. :D :2tu:

Slippery slope Ashley. I have seen the pics of the workshop set ups you Americans have. I am off to the shops to see what woodwork/ metal work tools they are giving away.

I don't need or want a lot of tools but I'm a "tinker queen" as my roomy calls me so some will be very nice.

Tools are no better than MT's when it comes to how many you "need".  It never ends!
