Serrations be gone
on: December 04, 2011, 04:12:00 AM
Well as some of you may know, i cut up a Wenger gardener as my main survival knife. The thing i didn't like about it was the serrations, 15 minutes with a hand file and they are gone. I have filed the blade into a chisle grind. I am a long, long way from a knife maker, or moder for that matter, and it looks like complete sh*t, but it shaves hair and carves feather sticks. It is a little like a VIC gardener now, with a  strong locking blade.

I've Never Done It, But I Am More Than Sure It's Possible.
....
Actually, Just Looked At Some Pics Of Wenger Scissors Close Up, And They Should Be Pretty Easy To Remove.
The Serrations That Are Hard To Remove Are Ones That Are So Defined, Like On A Spyderco Blade, Or Older Kershaws.
With Small Ones Like Those On The Scissors They Should Come Out No Problem.
