Whats the torch? looks like a newer, smarter version of that stupid 'right angle pipe' torch that used to be forces issue.
Pictures of most of my work can be found on my Facebook Page.
Also have a look at my Shapeways Shop and SW Torch Shop for 3D printed items.

Thanks Shift.

They are actually quite easy to do, but I have been a professional photographer for years. It's a simple piece of typing paper and some quick editing. It's all about the staging and composition of course. With tools its easy when there are so many lines to draw on.

Here's a quick tutorial.

Here's my tactical tailoring EDC/EDU (every day use?), in tactical black of course. I think this counts for military items ;)

Editing, usually just levels adjustment in photoshop and some white out for the spots where the paper didn't cover.

and final image:

A SRM 704 (Black Tini), Eagle BO thrum scissors, a Gerber eFect (supposed to be a cleaning and mainting a rifle, I use the flat bits to push out seams, the brush to clean out lint from the machine, the large flat bit for machine adjustments, and I plan to sharpen the punch into an awl to start holes in leather), and of the ubiquitous binder clips for holding down work.

i LOVE the black 704. I only have 3 of them. I should get more, they are so damn cheap and too good of a deal not to have many.

How does it compare to the 710?

I would put them on the same level. It's a matter of preference, size vs weight vs finish.

710 has a slightly thicker blade and frame lock (very solid) but the liner lock on the 704 still inspires confidence.

The weight, if compared to each other, the lightness+rigidity of the g10, the 704 wins.

Handling wise, the 710 has effecting jimping but the slimness of the 704 and g10 I find I can grip just as easy.

They are the same blade steel, both come in all black finish (the 710 with FULL black, including hardware, and the 704 with silver hardware and liners).

I like the 704 for it's form factor, it's tacticool but non-threatening appearance (both closed and open). The 710's black cousin has this silly flame/ghost design that I just can't get behind, but otherwise a fine choice. I swap between the two (in both finishes) but I often favor the 704.

helps?
