I've got one of those tubes in as well. Disappaers in the pocket and still have always a light with you. And it is rechargeble. Nice!

I outputs pretty decent. Color is okay and the lumens as well. More than the avarage cellphone flashlight which I used a lot untill now to see in the back of closets and things like that. But safes you the cellphone battery. And the lowmode is perfect for walking in a bedroom with sleeping kids without waking them up.

This light was an experiment for me but it looks like I will be buying some more. To put in pockets of several coats and such so I will always have some lighting gear with me. I have some more "serious" flashlights but this one sees the most action. And that for less then 10 bucks shiped  :2tu:

Well, for those who care. I am getting a bit less anthausiastic about the Tube. In have three now and one died on me already. Eventhough they are inexpensive I expected it bit longer life out of it. I have also bought the Olight 10R and that one turned out not as reliable as I expected to be. I had a few flashlight before and always Fenix light. I bought one once, surved me well and I sticked with it. But after some time I thought, why not. They are all well know flashlight producers, what can go wrong. They should know by now how to build a light that keeps working. But I was wrong, at least with the models I got.

Anyhow, I guess I'll be back at Fenix. Those I still have keep on working after years. And now they have something like a Tube as well so I guess I'm going to get me one of those sooner or later. I like the concept of the Tube; small, rechargable, inexpensive but I also like stuff that works for more than a few months. Perhaps I just had some bad luck but I am not going to push my luck anymore and go for stuff I have good experience with.

Anyhow, anybody here with experience with the Fenix UC01? Or did I missed a post somewhere already about it?

The Tube is a cracking wee light for the money, but it's still made on a budget so I'm not totally surprised to hear that there can be issues.  The Olight 10R on the other hand is an expensive bit of kit and I'd expect no issues at all. :(  Did you get in touch with them to see if they'd do anything about it?

New Olight S1A Baton 8)

I have a S1 Baton. How is the A different?

Swipped from another forum

What's new with this light?

 1. TIR optics.
 2. New button, new bezel color (compared to old single AA battery powered Batons ...).
 3. A record (for Olight's powered by a single 14500) 600 lumen.
 4. The flashlight got much shorter, was added two timer modes.

The flashlight is very similar to the S1, only it is a little longer and can also work from other than Li-Ion battery types.

Has yours turned it self on in your pocket yet?

Mine has a couple of times but one of them I may have just left it on when I put it back in my pocket.

A local Big Box hardware chain is closing down and currently have 15-50% off. couldn't resist this LedLenser A5 for 30% off.

Not the brightest light in the world, but Led Lenser quality with Hi-Low (24Lm claimed hi) and running off a single AA it should have some decent runtime
It will do fine as the light in my "Altoids tin".

Warranty claimed Nitecore MT06 came in today, my retailer (700km far from me) had a spare one and exchanged it.

First thing I noticed: the clip is MUCH stiffer than the previous one.
And I can't remember if the rest is the same of not, maybe if someone has a pic of the LED of the "older" model I could say

Although I love my MT06 I have noticed a QC issue with the one I bought for my wife. The head does not screw on all the way but it is still functional.

I don't keep up much on the latest and greatest LED's but I understand this is a new model. Not bad for $20. :tu:
