My latest lights are a cheapo UV light from Amazon and this little cracker:

It's my 3rd Lumintop now (Tool AA and TiTool AAA) and I'm thoroughly impressed not only with the quality of their lights but also the amount of accessories they include as standard (glow diffusers, spare o-rings, alternate tailcaps, ketchains etc.). Definitley have more on my list for the coming months!  :gimme:

Convoy S2+ with SST20 HighCRI 4000K emitter powered by the driver having 6*7135 modules

Because one wasn't enough,
I got another one : Orange Convoy S2+ SST20 HighCRI 4000K emitter and OP reflector (first one was SMO), still powered by the driver having 6*7135 modules

It is a lot more "copper-like" colored than orange in real life, but appears orange in the pictures

Tough to do better than the S2+!
It pays to buy them in bulk too!

Delivered today a Fenix CL23 lantern in red color.
I found it very functional and well designed.
It has a neutral led with a power of 40, 150 and 300 lumens but also a another lvertical light (2 and 25 lumens) which can be used as a directional flashlight but it is also useful when it is hung on a hook, it illuminates the bed or the curtain with a matte and very warm light.
There is also a "front" level of 25 lumens which is useful for projecting light at a specific point (instead of having the light diffused on 360 degrees)
I have an old CL25R that uses 18650s and I bought this CL23 because I have an unused quantity of Eneloop.
I like to use lanterns in the bedroom when I want very low light for reading or resting.
After seeing the CL23 I was about to buy the CL26R but I ended up buying another CL23 in green color.
The only criticism for the CL23 is that the red light (fixed and / or intermittent) with only 1 lumes of power, I would have preferred at least 2 lumens.

After buying two Fenix CL23 lanterns (AA battery)  I also bought the Fenix CL26R (version with battery 18650)
Very beautiful and functional, it has USB charging and is slightly higher than the AA version.
I would have liked to have it sold with a larger battery (comes with 2600 mA) but I have verified that it has two springs and works with any battery (even flat) so no problem.

I also bought a Fenix PD36R for a gift,
Really high-performance flashlight, but I asked Amazon for a replacement because the specimen I bought seems to vibrate during USB charging.
I'd like to buy a PD36R for me too but I'll wait until there is a 5000K or 4000K version.

Two more Peaks.
The big Logan runs all types of AA, AAA and CR123 batteries with the adapter kit.

Absolutely THE torch to have when I was in the Cubs.  :D  Picked these two up cheaply on Ebay.  Hadn't realised that one had the original box!

I like that Fenix, looks good!  last week I got a Fenix E18, I love it!

But my latest one came today on the recommendation of SOS24, it's an Acebeam TK16 with the HiCri SST20 emitter.  I'm impatiently waiting for it to get dark tonight!

The copper does look nice.  Interested in hearing your impressions.

First impressions are great.  I was out looking at some pine trees around and comparing it to my Thrunite T1 and Fenix E181R.  The trees were great because I could really tell how much more detail I was able to see with the HiCri emitter.  I knew the copper would be a lot heavier, but it feels really good in hand and just feels nice and solid.

Your guess is correct, I went with the Nichia.  It is a little warmer than I usually go for but that makes it is easy on the eyes with great color.

Based off your description with the TK16, I’m guessing you decided to try the HiCRI?

The light is a combination tail switch (on/off) and rotary (adjust brightness).

The extended kit is for increasing battery compatibility.  The light comes with an 18350, but can use 16340 and CR123.  With one extension tube, you can use 18500 and it doesn’t say it but 14500 (although might want to make sleeve for diameter difference.  With both extension tubes, can use 18650s.  Although I did notice that the batteries need to be button top.  My flat top 18650s would not work.

Bah! It may be simple, unassuming, common, utilitarian even, but I've not found a light that I have recommended to more people or one that has been better received.
