That does look real big!  :o  Have you just taken that?  If so, any chance of a picture with the Waves pliers open and next to the Zilla?

Actually Nomad ya got a lot of good points there, but the thing is Why? I know a company is out to make profits and I am all for it, but the perfect example is Leatherman.

I love thier products but hate thier bits. No problem for years they have been carrying the bits to buy. But they also now have the bit extension that not only takes thier bits. but now the reg. bits. They dont anywhere on thier page carry standard bits. Why? because marketing stated that you can get them cheaper elsewhere, and we still got you buying bit kits if ya dont buy the extension, but If ya dont buy the bits from them you will buy the extension to use your own. They got ya coming and going.

By the way its not being ranty. I love a good debate!!!!!!!

PS your vic went out.

Great, thanks for the pics hawkchucker.  :)  Strangely, that now doesn't look as large as I imagined.  I think I would still be tempted by a full sized Zilla, but possibly a second hand one or a trade rather than buying a new one.  The Jr looks like it is going to be a good size.  :)

Sure, I spent 15 minutes scouring the multitool encyclopaedia looking for zilla pics, and some smart arse with a camera just takes a fresh one.

In my post 3 days with the zilla It seems that I was slamming it, but I got to say if the tool was one inch shorter it would be a great tool to edc. The longer tool just hangs like you are carryign a full size blade, and the horizontal feature on the sheath, well it just sticks out like no tommorrow. It will snag on everything. The beltclip is an option, but it will go through the bottom of your pocket.

The Mini Zilla seems to remedy all the probs of the first model, and most likely will be seen as more carry friendly.

I think conceptually the Zilla Jr is what the original Zilla should have been. Why carry a tool with 3 functions that is larger and heavier than a full-feature multi?

It looks to be significantly more EDC-able than the original but I am curious to see how well the smaller pliers work.

I'm glad CRKT is making the Zilla Jr; it looks like a more manageable model to EDC.  I love CRKT knives, the M-16z was the first folder that I bought and I feel that they make a good quality product for an affordable price.  After looking at the catalogue, I'm looking forward to Razel models that they're going to have.

Oh, before I forget again.  I wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Great to see CRKT bringing out more 'tools'. I got a Zilla for xmas and really like it. It is a little big but if you use it enough, you just get used to it and you dont notice the size. I do like the look of the Get-A-Way driver as it includes a little flashlight too :D

I know I saw the pics, which really didn't help as I already wanted one. :)  You seem quite keen on it.

Yeah, its certainly not my best tool, but I do like it. I haven't actually used it for any proper work yet but its the only tool like it that I have. I've only got proper multitools and SAK's, never had tools like this or a Buck X-tract before so it was a pleasant change really and it looks cool in all black :P

Yup, will do. So far I've only cut a couple bits of wire and been flicking those pliers out, its quite addictive :)

Yeah I think they do. Not particularly grippy, so don't know what its like in the wet but they feel quite soft smooth.

Here's a closer pic for you...

What think you of that knife-blade flipper cryptrick?

Very impressed with it to be honest. I haven't had a lot of experience with flick knives as I don't collect/use them, but its one of the easiest knives to flick out that I've ever used. As you can see from the pic below which I post earlier in the picture thread, the 'flipper' sticks out quite a bit which makes it really easy to get your finger on it to flick out the knife.

Just edited my description of the scales. Just so people dont get confused they aren't soft as in squidgy, they are hard actually, I meant to say they feel smooth.

How does your blade center between the liners?

After disassembling my tool I had the damnedest time finding the right pivot tension to get it centered.

Hi everyone. Been around this forum for a while, just lurking. But finally decided to register and say something.

It's actually because I can't access the PDF on the first page. Looks like the CRKT site is down. Does anyone have a copy they can upload here?
