Can you swap sim cards across platforms without a problem?
I guess you can tell that US carriers don't allow moving sim cards. What I was wondering is, can you pull a SIM card out of an iPhone and have it work in an Android or Nokia handset seamlessly?
Can you use sim cards from different service/network providers. like T-mobile or Vodafone or Etisalat or DU in the same phone.

Like if you buy a phone from Etisalat, can you put a sim cars from DU in it. (google tals me these are the only two mobile carriers in UAE)? Or if you use the phone in another country, can you put the sim card from another foreign carrier in your phone? Most european carrieres don't allow that, so I keep an old Samsung phone that can be unlocked by an IMEI code when I travel abroad for a longer period of time.
I thought about doing the same thing, so I have a phone I don't cry over if I lose/break it while doing outdoor activities.Quote from: Mr. Whippy on December 15, 2011, 08:56:58 PMI guess you can tell that US carriers don't allow moving sim cards. The only other issue would be if one of the phones uses a micro sim, which I thought the iPhone did.Maybe the newer Nokia's do as well, which would allow an easy swap.
Micro SIM is the exact same card, but with less unused plastic around the chip.
I didn't know you could still buy a phone
