Parallel Pocket Panel! (EDC organizer)
on: December 30, 2011, 08:20:33 AM
4 prototypes and a weeks worth of EDC later, I got the design and pattern down. I call it the Parallel Pocket Panel, because it keeps things parallel with each other, goes in your pocket and is a slim panel design.

Want one? go here: http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,34001.0.html

On to the pictures!

With some stainless goodies:

and some SAKness:

Slips in the backpocket:

They are listed under Misc items in the trade forum.

I made two for myself, one for my black EDC and one for my stainless :)

This is 8) really liking, fantastic work, great logo and name :tu: couple of requests, could you show a pic with a Wave in please, would give me a good idea of what other goodies would fit and would you be able to add a velcro pouch on the back, kinda like the one you made 5hif7ty?

A wave would be a bit of a custom bit. Not, just making two smaller slim pockets and one wide one.

Here's a pic of my wave/flash light panel, a P2 if you may :).

I'll post more pics of goodies

I also have an idea of adding paracord loops at the top of the pockets so you can add smaller items that would 'dangle' in the pocket, like a whistle and a peanut lighter etc. Any interest in that?

A standard Bic lighter, SRM 763 axis lock and a tube of Kiehl's lip balm.

A very good idea about the paracord loops, extra function, at the expense of taking up no extra space.

Here's one i whipped up. Wider pocket for an MT, and two skinny pockets for lights, lighters, lip balm, pens, markers whatever. I think if people wanted this one, I would call it the P3MT, also I would make the pockets about 3/4" taller to cover the MT better so other clipless models (MP400, Swiss etc) could fit in it without worry about dropping out.

This  + = :gimme: now if this version could just have a velcro pocket on the back I'll have one :tu: actually looking at the one you made for 5hif7y, it looks secure enough to hold cards etc without velcro, so scratch the velco. In your other sales post you mention different colours, what do you have in stock? as I wouldn't want you ordering materials just for me. Top notch product, very well made and thought out :tu: oh and thanks for the pics with the Wave in

I don't have much in stock right now, just a 50% grey and black. But I can easily acquire small amounts of other colours. As for discreet colours, I found a forest green, and lighter OD green, navy and I think a maroon. The rest are kind of comical colours like kelly green, dark deal, bright red, yellow.

P3MT+
Reply #13 on: December 31, 2011, 11:02:25 PM
Here's another one, a mod from the P3MT, I call it the P3MT+.

It'll fit larger tools, Flik, ST300, Blasts, Surges to a different boxed out pocket design. Like the P3MT, it had two skinner pockets for flash lights and pens. Also two new gutted paracord loops land in between the pockets for small hanging bits (lighters, batter lockers, whistles).

Configs in images:

1. Blast, a pry bar and a mini highlighter
2. ST300, bullet pen, aaa torch, aaa battery locker and a peanut lighter
3. Flik (not pushed in all the way), bullet pen, pocket surgical knife.

Nah, I am an industrial designer that is increasingly obsessed with production methods. I only picked up seeing about 2 months ago.

I hate not knowing how things are made.

Hell of a good idea . getting a size compromise that fits the greatest variety of pockets must be tuff . Looks like a well produced product .

One idea ; a rudimentary flat pocket on the back - big enuff to hold a couple of bills and a card .
