Flashlight Battery Leak Survival Skills
on: January 15, 2012, 05:20:34 PM
For Alkaline you can use vinegar to clean up the mess. For Carbon Zinc baking soda works fine  Hope you never get a leaked battery first off. With Alkaline if I must use them I check them every 5 days or so. This way you can discover the leak before it gets bad. I have never had a Carbon Zinc leak on me. One time it happened but, I let the light sit unattended for a few months. Lights you are not going to use for awhile its best to remove the batteries. Hope this helps someone that uses these types of cells.
