Couldn't help myself, after getting that SFO #85 Harness Jack in Ebony, I had to get it's only brother.
Like my previous HJ, this one is decked with fancy nickle/silver bolsters as well as nickle/silver liners, pins, and shield. Blades are polished 1095 with the mainblade swedged and sporting a long pull. The secondary is the improved Punch. Handle material is Antique Walnut Jigged Bone, real good looking stuff....
Fit and finish is right up there, about as flawless as you can get in any production knife. Just typical GEC.....
Blades rest perfectly centered, and within about a hairs width from the liners without any rub......
Another outstanding piece from GEC.
I just can't seem to get enough of this pattern, and not just this particular style of Harness Jack, but the #85 pattern Bullet-End Jack in general. Such a classic pattern, and done with GEC's build it nearly feels like you are holding a real piece of history in your hands. Like the knife came to you straight from America's Cutlery heyday.
