So I messed up a bit...
on: February 05, 2012, 10:44:19 PM
I was going to make up some ribs for the game today (Suberbowl for those not into US football). I had them prepped last night, and took them out to get them started cooking this morning. Just now I realized that I forgot to turn the cooker on!
Now its 2 hours to game time and my ribs are still cold and raw!

I gotta find some way to make this get done fast....

That was my first thought too. Got them going on in there, I figure I will just finish them under the broiler.

I think I may be able to save the day with some help from the pressure cooker. The ribs wont be as good as usual, but they will still be mighty good. I've never done ribs in a pressure cooker before, but I understand the theory and have used the pressure cooker for other foods.

So the outcome here was pretty good. I have to admit, that the pressure cooker is something I will be using again. I was lucky that I was already intending to cook wet, and I didn't have to get anything new.

When I do  ribs I take 3+ hours, slowly cooking them with a proper barbecue system, using charcoal...  However, because of the time needed I very rarely do them..

here is a very good book on that topic:
