I started this one way back when I first started this SAK modding business over a year ago. Cut the scales out of the first sheet of G10 I bought and have been slowly getting everything else together that time when I could find the time.

Orange G10 scales with ti T&T and ti liners including the lock liner. The edge has the serrations removed and reground into a 2000 grit polished convex edge.

It has the usual tweezers and toothpick in titanium that I do. The days are numbered for my 3 layer pinned ti tweezers. So much work putting them together and filing them to match the contour of the scale that they are a $100 option with the toothpick to make it worth the time. I've found a better option.

Now that's the way to go, those look awesome.  We need a reliable water jet guy now to cut some of those out.

Gorgeous work.  I've never been a fan of the 111s until this one.

.....

That will hold an edge really well, easy to touch up, no chipping, and cuts very smooth I'm sure you've noticed.  It's a one time effort well worth it.  :tu:

Ok, seems i can close my 111 GAK thread and stopmodding right now.
Na, serious: Great work, i hope I´ll once acquire skills that enable me to do mods like you and the other guys around here.
Meanwhile I´ll keep on learning from your threads and annoy you with my clumsy attempts.

What size torx/thread/pivots did you use, if i may ask?

Another fantastic job!   I really like this one.  I keep opening the thread just to remind myself how nice it is.  :)    :tu:

Great work Bushido! I was wondering what happened to the liners you cutted and showed us a long time ago.

I have only one question: What is that tiny little nib protruding from the lanyard side on the last pic?

Thanks and thanks to everyone that likes to see my over the top mods. They may take some time but the way people here flip wigs over each one is really what's brought me this far and keeps me trying new things.
That nib is the rounded off end of the saw blade that sticks out far enough to open it since it has no nail nick. Yeah, those liners and scales were cut from the first stock I ever bought for this and it's taken this long to get back to it and fit everything together. No more titanium 111 lock liners for me. Well, maybe just one more since I already have it cut and ready to go on carbon fiber scales. After that the stainless stock ones will do nicely and I'll just have to be happy with titanium outer liners.

Yeah, I'm thinking of ditching this underscale tool storage setup altogether. I don't like the space limitations, the way it ruins the clean look of a nice pair of scales and especially the way it takes soooo much finish time to mate the T&T to the scales cleanly. I'm working on a solid 1/8" thick center liner that has the tweezers, toothpick and retractable pen mechanism WJ cut out of it. No liners needed so it would be the same thickness as the average blade layer and the G10 scales could be made thinner without the need for slots on the back sides.

I'll sent you some aluminum mockups as soon as I have something workable for file patterns. This is the solution to T&T in 93 and still keeping the Alox scales.
