SwissTool Case Difference
on: February 24, 2012, 01:26:44 PM
For the folks who track changes to the tool line.  I bought a SwissTool BO just last weekend.  And while I was looking it over closely along with the black nylon case.  I noticed the case snap had the lettering "CYPRUS" stamped into it on the inside portion.  I compared it to the same style case my SS SwissTool came with and it is plain.  Next came to open/close/open/close etc., test.  I came to the conclusion that the CYPRUS stamped snap opened a bit easier than the non-stamped tool.  That is all.

Wow, good catch Valvestem :salute: Thanks for pointing it out. Were there any other changes in the case, or the tool itself?

I don't know if there were any changes in the tool(s), one was the SS version the other the BO. They are both identical, except for the finish.  But I can discern no other differences between the cases, with the exception of the inner snap.

I know it is just a small difference/change, but some folks like little things like this, and wonder why.  That is me.  Sort of like maker's marks on firearms, little nuances that may mean a lot.
