What is it?
on: March 05, 2012, 06:42:47 PM
I have had a request to identify this knife but I have never seen one or heard of it before. Basically it looks like a Lumberjack with a corkscrew or a Waiter with a wood saw. No other info on it other than these photos. These are not my photos.

A couple more views. As can be seen in the first photo it has the old Economy style triangular hot stamped shield but the silver is worn off.

New one on me. Could it be a mod? Any marks on it to indicate that?

From the photos it does not look like it has been tampered with but you never know since these MOD folks are very clever! I was thinking it might be from the earlier series of 84mm economy blister packed knives from this photo and info from SAKWicki.

I have a downloaded photo with the note that its number is 3.3311, and that the dealer it was bought from thought it was a special run. No other info.

Looks like a lumberjack with economy scales.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

It's a 91mm Lumberjack, economy scales, no official name but Vic #3.3311. Duder posted a picture of a NIB one here: http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,21919.msg450521.html#msg450521.

Wow! OK, I missed that this thing was a 91mm.  I need to email him and ask to be sure but it looks like we have a winner, "We don't know what it is!" except the Victorinox catalog number going by the tools. Perhaps "WaiterJack" will work?  :pok: :pok:

Looks interesting- I also question the value of the corkscrew vs the phillips, but it's cool. Proof that there is a SAK for every taste. Probably the saw is for older bread, or for cutting up small wood for a tiny stove while the rest is pure waiter.

So... name? Configuration is basically a Camper but slimmed down. Trailrunner? But it is well equipped for a jug of wine, loaf of bread and though, by a romantic campfire, so maybe the Honeymooner? *chuckles*

Those are some good suggestions. LOL I did confirm it is a 91mm knife so exactly like what Duder posted before. Thanks Jazz!  :tu: :tu:
