A little trick worth remembering .

Next time you break a hacksaw blade , keep the longest piece . at one end you have a lanyard hole , at the other broken end you have something quickly ground into a crude skew chisel . To form a handle , just apply some duct tape , the remaining teeth will rip most materials . Scrap plastic container lid + duct tape , you have a sheath .

The whole outfit , has no real weight or bulk - makes a very usefull backup is your "real" knife gets lost in the snow or leaf litter ( why I would never buy a camo SAK , Flashlight , or knife ) .

Always a good idea.  Much of the outdoors is made of wood, so an extra (backup) saw never hurts!
