I'm embarrassed to say...
on: April 25, 2012, 08:13:41 PM
....that I'd never even heard of the MP400 fisherman:-[  Spotted while browsing our Encyclopaedia I have to say that it's very nearly exactly what I want in a MP400; plain blade, awl, scissors, diamond file, Phillips, bottle opener etc etc.  OK, so I could live without the tweezers, but the biggie is really the fishing focused pliers head. :-\  It couldn't be to hard to swap them for some regular ones, right? :)

Anyone have one of these babies?  Care to share your thoughts?

You should be ashamed of yourself :D

I'm sure I've seen some Gerber head swaps around here.... having the diamond file is a huge plus in my book too. I was fiddling around today trying to see if I could take out of my PST II and put it in a Knifeless Fuse instead of the standard file.

I'm pretty certain I could manage the head swap, it's more a case of finding a good deal on one to buy.

Gerber MP heads swap very easily mate, and to be honest I should take a slice of that embarassnment for myself too. I had seen the fisherman several times, and seeing those pliers I never looked at the rest of the load out.  :-\

The tweezers look like those from a MP700, which I've actually found quite useful a few times. Diamond file ... :o ... that looks interesting! This actually looks like a interesting tool (more so than the MP450) for cross breeding with my MP400 with corkscrew to get a very nice bladeless MT

If you find somewhere that does good deals that have more than one ... gimme a  :pok: :D :D

Are the tweezers found on top the blade  .
Yep I would of thought it would be a relatively painless transplant, those plier re-tension clips do have a mind of their own & love to go ping off in all directions  :ahhh :D :D.

I would drop Dennis/WH867 a line mate he might have a spare

Hmmm, I don't have an extra 400 fisherman, but I'll keep a watch out for one. Like Mat says though, you ought to contact Dennis. Not only will he find one for you before anyone else, it will end up being half the price! :D
