Gerber Collection has found some more room.
on: June 08, 2012, 12:36:31 PM
Now that I have moved my Leathermans, the Gerbers can now have some room to breath.

Here are the MP400s and 600s

Some of the stranger Gerbers along with the Flik family and Diesels.

Next down, the butterfly opening Gerbers along with the keychain tools. The Octane and Balance are here because it looks like they fits with these more than the 400/600 series in the other drawer.

The Bear Grylls collection now has its own drawer.

Last but not least, the Gerber gun cleaning kits.

I didn't realize that Bear guy also had a Gerber line machete out there.   What do you think of it, Chako?  Thanks!

I can't say much about it as I haven't used it or need to anytime soon. That was an impulse buy at the local Canadian Tire. That curiosity thing again.

It seems to be very similar to the machete Stallone used in the latest Rambo movie, at least in blade shape.  I was looking at it online and bummed to see its made in China....

Ya those things will work fine for show but they aren't something you'd want to use.   Lots of people reported them snapping off at the handle.  I had a different gerber machete that did the same.   Im still on the lookout for an affordable parang (malay parang) which is what this gerber one copies.

Have a look at the Condor stuff Syph, they tend to get decent reviews. Not great on fit and finish (nothing you couldn't sort out though ;) ) but very functional by all accounts  :tu:
