Quite a few people ordered, and their confirmation and cancellation emails came directly from Leatherman.

Seems possible that it is the next Garage release, just leaked onto the site before it should have done.

Not from the Leatherman Garage page.
From what I read on Reddit, it was revealed as a product on the Leatherman Shopify page.

As much fun as the real Crunch is to collect, if there is a Garage 008 Crunch with only a few available, they can go crunch themselves.  These Leatherman games get tiresome.

Honestly, I don't think I'll buy a new Leatherman product anymore. Less accessories, increasing prices, not so famous quality... I could spend money in an old one, like PST, MiniTool, Crunch, and so on, but I don't feel the necessity to buy a tool only because it's blue and orange. I understand for collections owners, of course, but for me, it's over for new Leathermans.
