It's just a Wave with the Rebar head. Put the Wave head on the Rebar body and gave it to my nephew for Christmas. For the bit extension, I went to Lowes and bought a bit extension and milled it down to fit the Wave bit holder. Bingo, bango, bongo- done!

Is that a new style Wave or old one? I have the old style but I doubt a Rebar plier would fit  Should be getting my Rebar soon.

I used a mental image of my Surge to dream about it. That's all I can do with it for the moment, because it is into a parcel somewhere between NY and Athens at the moment.
At least that's where I hope it is and not on the belt of some post office worker. That happened before to me.

I didn't really have an occasion to use my Wave today, but I did assemble my kids beds with it when we moved here a few weeks ago.  The bit kit and extension really did the trick for the baby's crib, it's put together with hex screws and the counterbore is a bit deep for the bedrails.  I couldn't have done it with the bitdriver alone, it's too short.  Money well spent on that extension and bit kit!

I used my PST to turn on a heater at work that had the knob busted off, and used the philips driver to tighten a couple of screws on my desk.

I used my wave and bit kit to remove the shroud for the ballscrew on my CNC lathe at work.  We are having an identical one refurbished and we needed to measure the radius of the balls in the ball nut.  I have my entire toolbox three feet from the machine as I run it every day, but none of my hex wrenches would do the job, the wave and extender were then only tools that reached while still allowing some torque.

yesterday, i went to my local home depot to pick up some shelves for the bathroom cleaning supplies. in the back of my head i was thinking of buying something that would require me to bust out my leatherman to assemble, but i ended up with one of those cheap plastic shelves that just snap all together. the only chance i got to use my leatherman was to tear open the package... =\

GOOD ENOUGH!

My first real task of my first Leatherman Surge was fixing a door knob and hanging a protest sign (cutting rope mostly)

Should have specified that it doesn't give a numerical reading.  Just shows if it's too hot:-\

My father in law used my Charge TTi to do some work on our car door.  He was carrying the Rebar, but needed a bit driver and bit kit.
