Wenger Brass Fixed-Blade Watchcase Knife - 1940s?

This fixed blade watchcase knife has a unique blade shape, and solid brass handles. They had quite a nice petina on them but there was some oxide eating holes in the metal so I decided I better clean the knife up a bit.  Hope I shouldn't have just left it alone.

This is estimated to be from the 1940s, before the company represented on the knife was sold.
