As I've mentioned before, the Photon Freedom I love and cherish so broke down. Sort of. It still works, but the LED has a tendency to fall out from impact. Yikes. I've used this as an excuse to splurge on the proverbial Victorinox microlight. Not a week later, it's here. Unfortunately, it came without instructions. In my case, that's bad. The Vic website says it's got 4 modes. I've seen Inova microlights before and they definitely have at least 2. However, I cannot seem to get anything out of mine but momentary on. There's no slide switch on the bottom as with normal Inova microlights, either. I'm stumped. Can anyone explain???
P.S. I cannot send the Freedom in for a warranty claim because of the embarrassing nature of its malfunctions.
P.P.S. No, I did not use it to assist a colonoscopy.

Okay, I'm half-way there: apparently, holding the button down for 30 seconds takes the light from "signal" mode to "normal". That is, clicking once brings you to "high" mode, clicking twice brings you to "low" mode and a third click turns on the strobe.
Unfortunately, I can not get back to "signal" mode. Oh well, one breakthroughat a time...
Well, since I already started the thread: light is much larger than a Photon, borderline keychainable if you swap the clip for a little ring (huge pain in the rear, had to use tweezers
and small pliers to accomplish this). Beam looks very bright and clean, though I can't compare with a white Photon (only have a red one). Body feels a bit "rubbery", don't know how it'll hold up. Provided it does, the light looks sturdier than the above Photon. Changing the battery is approximately as simple.
