It's cold (for a t-shirt), and from my phone, so the quality isn't as good as I would like, but.

You have quite an eye for photos. Like how the knife's reflection plays with the rocks, making the crack look like it walks right through the blade - when it is more of an optical influence.  :D

I have 3 No 8s.
A Baroudeur Bleu, a Couteaux de Jardin and an Outdoor.
I like all three.
The Jardin is the best all around and the most cost effective. I might like it more because I am accustomed to SAKs and it has a drop point blade that is awesome. The Barouder is the classic Yatagan design, great for food and filleting. Both stay at home and I EDC the Outdoor because it has a "little bit of everything" blade, clip point but with great curvature and serrations. I use the shackle opener as a thumb hole for one hand opening. I clean it all the time and have no problem with the handle. I use the whistle as a joke with my son. It is lighter than the common SAK (yet lockable) and I put it at any pocket available without worrying.
The Jardin makes a great couple with the pruner No 8. Add the saw for a good garden set.
All three cost me less than my Harvester.
I am still obsessed with the serrated ship foot and straight clip point combo of Leatherman and Mike Horn's Ranger but this Outdoor model gives me some options for much less volume, weight and money.
Whatever user knife one has it is wise and easy to have 1-2 Opinels for back up. Now that the kids are grown up I'll get some for the kitchen too, but there is serious competition again from Victorinox (and those kitchen Vics are really cheap).
And they are collectables too, especially the hand carved ones.

  Neat photos!

Noticed the beached boat. Guessing living on a boat isn't a good thing with no water around. :D Would assume furniture on boats are nailed down & stuffed in hammock sacks? Have never been on a boat much larger than your fishing boat there.

Tidal mud flats - at least the boats get time to rest after a hard mornings fishing  :D

Sadly isn't my boat, was just driving by and we stopped for a picnic and I used the opportunity to take a few snaps of the pioneer.
