Nope   There actually hasn't been any outback for a while now, which kind of surprises me.  I was hoping some sort of A/C would have been out so I could have snapped a few cool pics, but nope, nothing.  >:(

So, what are some thoughts on that blade. I got one recently on the Rescue Tool and I quite like it. I'm, by no means, a CE fan. The way the scalloping is laid out just makes so much sense to me on that blade. Oh and, cool pic Derek!¡!

I'm not a big CE fan either myself, but it works for me.  It's super sharp and cuts right through anything I've put it against, the toughest of which has been some small rope, but it ate that right up like it was nothing.  Impressed my dad with that too as his knife was dull and couldn't get it done.  I would prefer PE as I can sharpen that, but that's another purchase for another time ;)

To me, if a blade is going to be a CE, then that's the way it should be laid out.  I much much much prefer using it compared to a traditional CE.  I still do prefer an all PE or SE, but I do love that Vic blade!

Thanks!  I Took it about as fast as I could as it was windy, -8c (17f), and I only had a light t-shirt on.

Yep, it has cut through anything I've wanted to cut and just laughed at it.  Mind you, I haven't tried to cut anything crazy, but I've cut rope, heavy cardboard, heavy nylon pallet straps, and I just used it on the weekend to cut wrapping paper.  Oh, I also didn't need to sharpen it before cutting the wrapping paper!

I forgot to mention I cut through a diaper box very quickly with it as well.  It cut better than anything else I've used on cardboard :tu:  As I mentioned though, my only concern is when it comes time that it needs to be sharpened, I will have a problem.  I don't think it will be anytime soon, especially since I don't carry/use it much really, so it should be fine.  Still, at some point I want to get a PE OHT and hope to be able to afford a Syph custom Alox 111mm once he gets going with them.  I would want the PE blade and the file and saw, as well as the opener :D
