How many SAKs do you have?

I just broke a hundred. Anybody else keep an excel spreadsheet of all of their knives? Parts knives are not included in my total.

I've honestly not done a count; my guess would be between 50-100, though I'm getting rid of some of my duplicates or models that simply have not worked out for me due to wanting to just keep what I'll use/keep as backups. :/

More than I care to admit to.

I keep a spread sheet with the knives sorted by maker, length, and model and description; and include price and the presence or not of a box. The knives are organized in plastic trays, typically by maker and size; and the trays stored on metal shelves. I can generally find what I'm looking for fairly quickly. Generally.

In addition to the collection I have several dozen users scattered around the place.

I am going to have to add time and where purchased to my spread sheet. I also grade the used ones from 1-10.

Wow... I'm a total lightweight!  I only have 9!  I'm sure some of you guys have lost more than that!!!   

I'll be at 10 in the next month or so... I've got a CT-Lite at the top of my wish-list... hoping to get one next month.

For the over-100-crowd... Wow! Doesn't it become a matter of too many options at that point? Or is it strictly collecting?

I have trouble deciding what to EDC with just my meager compliment!  Executive?  Compact?  CT41?   

Oh, and my pleasure Lynn!  It was motivated self-interest... one less SAK in the drawer to puzzle over when decided what to take for the day!

Over 500 now and counting, albeit at a much slower pace. No spread sheet here. I did however do a lengthy and time consuming photo cataloguing that I posted in several threads on this forum. It is now sadly out of date though.

yes, every single one I use everyday...

Of couse not...I have 23 that I use once in a while... the others are from the collection...

It is a collection, I don't have to use it all... just to look at them makes me happy...

Somewhere north of 100 SAKs. I don't keep a spreadsheet, but a not very updated plaintext file. (I work as a programmer. Plaintext good, spreadsheet bad.) I do know where every single knife I own is, though.

And options vs collecting... I don't know really. I both like being spoilt for choice and finding a knife I have been lusting after. And backups. Always keep backups.

Also, notice how few have between 50 and 100 SAKs. There was a similar thread on SOSAK many moons ago, and pretty much the same pattern emerged. Somewhere between 20 and 50 people realize they have a collection, lower their shoulders, relax, straighten their backs, and... get more knives.

(I suspect 38 is above the magic limit, so you're doomed, macabee, DOOOMED I say. )

  Yikes! It's worse than I thought! I overlooked an alox Rambler and my Wenger MultiTool when I counted last night. So, now, with the addition of the Grand Prix that came today and the two I missed last night, I am up to 30 with the possibility of some others that might be laying around here somewhere.
