Spring repair kit

Not too impressed so far. I had to replace a black single sided old scissor spring. The tool they give you would not push the broken one out. I had to file a piece of metal to fit and hammer the old one out. Then I tried to push the new one in. The tool in the kit wouldn't do that either. I have replaced the larger ones pretty easily. I got the kit for this old one and the only good it was for supplying the new spring. Good thing it was only $19.

Yes, unfortunately the kit and tools only work well for the modern springs.
