I've done broke Pliers before.

Not Leatherman as such, but yer standard $20 options.

what I just wonder with the Leathermans is that there are other weak points, and the smaller pivot that might give first.

Yup Unfortunatly it is really trashed, and someone will buy it amnd send it back in to the company for replacement.
