I found aluminum keys which seemed weak at first, but then I thought about how keys probably get 75% of their wear jumbling around against each other on a ring. They'd be protected in this setup and if you could parse your life down to 3 keys and found an aluminum blank for each one it would be a super slim package that weighed a few grams at the most. If someone really wanted to go over the top I could send them to Syph007 and get a hardcoat anodizing on them. How awesome would that be? HAIII aluminum keys in a little weightless ti frame?

I have nothing but a chipped car key and a bike lock key and the house has a combo lock. I need a guinea pig to send me 3 aluminum keys so I can mod them and have them hard anodized and build version 2.0 with a minimal superlight ti frame.

Hot on the heels of your project! I gave it a go on my extra car key. Instead of making a WHOLE thing, I started off with a SRM 704 handle and frame and shaped a car key with a flipper arm. Works great AND I can clip it to my pants!

This is a ridiculously cool project. And I don't have any skill whatsoever. But if you need some keys to play around with, I'd buy them and send them to you.
