Multitool.org Store 6th Anniversary Giveaway
on: July 20, 2012, 02:47:07 AM
In case you took a wrong turn, someplace on the information superhighway, aka the Internet, I'd like to remind you that this is Multitool.org, the web's foremost site for multitool and related discussions.  An adjunct is this humble, little, Flashlight Forum.

When I think about multitools and flashlights, I think about doin' stuff.  Having both a multitool and a flashlight, often makes doin' stuff much easier.  When thinking about offering an item from The Multitool.org Store for the 6th Anniversary celebration, I thought why stop at "an" item?  Why not a nifty set that will help folks do stuff?

So, for your consideration I present a Leatherman SuperTool 300/Monarch 400 LED light combo set.

In order to win this prize, please post a picture of your favorite multitool and light combo.  I'll toss the names of all the entrants in a hat and draw one.  This contest will run through next Tuesday, July 24 at Noon eastern time.

Lately I've gone back to the big boy Swisstool RS, and my trusty Fenix LD20.  Neither has ever disappointed.

PM me or email sakmodder [at] gmail . com if you are looking for custom SAK work.

This one is my favourite, although not the most carried one. With this combo I can take on anything. :D

I finally had a chance to take this torch down to 12m to see if it was waterproof under pressure and i can report that it worked very well with no leaking after using it for an hour or so.

The only issue is that under 5m the pressure causes the rubber boot to compress onto the switch turning the light on, luckily it's a forward clicky as otherwise the light would be turned off.
Also due to the QTC system and spring isolation the light can be turned off by twisting the tailcap.

My target is 40m as thats as deep as a hobby diver should really go.

Possibly the worlds first ever QTC dive torch.

Pictures of most of my work can be found on my Facebook Page.
Also have a look at my Shapeways Shop and SW Torch Shop for 3D printed items.

Not sure  if I should call it my favorite, bit it's certainly my most carried combo, on my keys all the time.

Here's mine. I've included the Streamlight Nanolight in my pic because I usually have it as a zipper pull on my jacket so it goes everywhere I go.  It's really helped me out a lot when I've forgotten to pack a flashlight with me.

This is called a Swiss Army Knife. Do you know what Switzerland is? Switzerland is a place where they don't like to fight, so they get people to do their fighting for them while they ski and eat chocolate. - Larry David

That's a tricky question TBH.  My favourite MT is still my Spirit X and the best all-round light I have is my Jetbeam Jet-1 PRO, there's not a lot I couldn't tackle with those two. 8)

Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Here's mine.  It's my cheap Mossy Oak flash light, and my Gerber 800.  The light was only cheap, but it works great so far, and is nice and light.
