Here's two tool-flashlight combos I carry.

My Leatherman ST300 and a MagLite Mini. I've carried a Mini-MagLite since my navy days (late 80's) and almost always had a Victorinox SAK with me, but now that we own a home, I need a pliers tool most of the time. I had a Surge, but the ST300 has a more comfortable grip.

Ironically, I have a Victorinox Cavalier on my keychain, with a MagLite Solitaire. They rarely get used, but when I need them, I really need them.

An ancient Mini-Maglite (with LED upgrade and high capacity Ni-MH batteries) and Leatherman Surge. These two have been a team for 7 years and neither are giving up!

My BO Swisstool and a flashlight I picked up at the surplus store.   I carry an E01 on my keychain and sometimes use a maglite with IQ switch and led upgrade.

One of these days I should upgrade my lights.

My old trusty tools, the ST300 and replacement LD20 I bought after mine was stolen out of my car. Oddly, they chose not to nab the ST300 when they took the light. I'm glad, because I would dearly miss it.

Yep, it's the stuff they put on stairs to make a non slip edge. I found the ST300 quite smooth and slippery if my hands were wet or snowy, now it's perfect! It will sit on a 45 degree angle on most surfaces with this tape. I even had it on the head of my old LD20 so I could turn it easier, it's got a lot of uses.

Pic 1 is what I tend to carry everyday in my pockets, in a shirt and tie, no jacket so belt sheath not an option.

Pic 2 is my original carry flashlight/ MT, a leatherman original model and a really high tech mini mag with the led and IQ switch upgrade.  Man I thought I was cutting edge!
My young son helped me make the sheath so this is actually still my favorite combo.
