Anyone watching the new series. The second episode aired today. I noticed Les is using his new signature knife.

I watched the first one too.  Great to see it was back on.  It was continued though! Now I need to see the rest.

One of the earlier episodes he 'survived' in a bush plane crash scenario that was just a ways northeast of where I grew up. The woods looked very familiar.  I miss living up there sometimes.  Stupid city life!

I watched part of the first episode.  I'm glad he's back on TV.  I had signed up for the dinner with Les contest that SMKW had offered but sadly, I didn't win.  I wouldn't have minded just talking to him about his travels, etc.

I haven't seen the new series but I have watched all the original ones and some of his specials. I liked the "Off the grid", that shows how he build his house in the Canadian bush.

I see he appeared on MTV Cribs too with it, nice to see how the house looks after some time.

I'm looking forward to the new episodes. :tu:

For his first 10 Day episode(s), I saw him use his Camillus fixed blade and folder, but despite mentioning him having a multitool, I didn't see him use it once.  Lots of product placement for the knives, IMO, but at least he actually stands behind them and uses them, so I can't fault him at that. :tu:

It was nice seeing him on the small screen again.

Ash, you have to watch the old episodes.

To be completely honest I thought the first episode of the new season wasn't great. Don't get me wrong I think Les is the man and I truly enjoy seeing him on TV again. I just think the production was a bit off and im not used to the 2 part episodes. Im not sure if this will be a regular thing, but we will see.

I watched one of him in the Arctic yesterday; I have no idea if it is new or old.
Well, watched most of it as I got a bit bored towards the end.
I generally like Les when he is interacting with people e.g. tribesmen but I am not so keen on him alone; not enough going on to keep me interested.

That's why Bear bites the heads off frogs and sticks rubber hoses up his poo chute - keeps the camera occupied when in reality there'd be bugger all happening

I've been re-watching all the old episodes and am at 1-8 now. So far I've seen him use a Wave, Supertool, Vic Camper, Vic Spirit and a Swisstool. I've been thinking about screenshots thread cataloging all tools used throughout the series. Lots of watching to do though :ahhh

I'm rewatching them as well on netflix.  Cool, I never noticed the spirit or swisstool.  Do you remember which episodes they were?

I was wrong about the spirit, thought I saw curved handles in 1-7.

So 1st season episodes 7 and 8

I haven't seen the new series, but I got to the point where I couldn't watch the old show anymore because of his incredible overuse of scene cuts...

Hey Les, I don't like seeing a new angle on the same thing every 15 or 20 seconds!!!  If I want to get dizzy and disoriented, I'll ride a roller coaster, thanks...
