A lot of people have complained about that crummy file on the PS4. I personally liked it, but I have to agree that it was way too short to do any real file work. In a tool this size, I'd rather have an awl in its place, or the awesome clamshell opener from the Gerber Dime. As a result, this happened:

Replacing the file is an improvised awl and clamshell opener



This was ground from a phillips screwdriver, since it's pretty tough to get hold of those P4's  :rant:

The clamshell opener was tougher and the filework was sloppy, so it needs some more work. It's sharpened though, and cuts through clamshell packaging with ease. I'm almost mad that I ground off the hook used for the bottle opener, I think it would've been good as an emergency can opener too  :facepalm:



Overall this mod took about two hours, including filework and sharpening with my PocketPal sharpener. Worth it though, this has replaced my Deluxe Tinker for EDC. Hope you guys enjoy!

Yup! The screwdriver scale that the PS4 came with drove me nuts, it was so hard to reach em  >:(

Indeed  :D I was planning on making an awl out of the blade you sent, but I tihnk I might just make it into a sheepsfoot blade.

Hopefully I'll be able to use them more, I still have a bagful waiting to be modded  >:D Hope you're finding the parts I sent useful as well.
