what is wrong with this SAK?
on: August 16, 2012, 10:45:14 PM
HI! I saw this knife on eBay, but if you look close on the tang stamp, it says victorinox...
Is replacement scales for Hoffritz available??

There is no Buy-It-Now option.

Looks to be a nice Champion, though the seller has left the fish scaler unopened.  Condition is probably not quite "DOESN'T SEEMED TO BE USED" given the scratches on the scales but overall looks pretty good to me.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

hmmm.. on my champion hoffritz the tang stamp on the front is Hoffritz an the back is switzerland, stainless rostfrei. on the one on eBay you can see the "vic" on the front scale, end officer suisse crossbow on the back. what does that mean?

It means that your Hoffritz Champion was made before this one was. Victorinox stopped stamping the main blade with "Hoffritz" in the early to mid 1980s. They also used to inlay the word "Hoffritz" in the front scales, and around the same time they started hot stamping it instead of using the inlay.

The seller didn't change scales or anything - this is just a standard Champion made for Hoffritz after they stopped stamping the main blade.
