They look like excellent knives. I'm on the lookout for one here in the UK What is your opinion on it in comparison to the Soldier (apart from the finish which you mentioned already)?

I've heard they are bombproof, and a real contender against the SAK - Are they heavier than an Alox Soldier?
Here is mine, a chinese made alox classic, with a twist as has toothpick and tweezers, i like this option as like to have T/T but prefer alox, this is a well made little knife (Image removed from quote.)

From what I've seen by comparison and actual factory workers, the only parts made by Victorinox that were used in the Century line's production were the liners and corkscrew.

(Cliche, I know. )
My comment was just an old memory from SOSAK. I probably simply remember it wrong. (But any article claiming the reason the corkscrew is sourced externally because there is insufficient forging knowledge in-house should be taken with a pinch of salt. )
