Affordable Sharpmakers

I want a sharpmaker.. but.. they're a bit pricy on this side of the pond.

Does anyone know of a good place to buy one where it won't cost me an arm and a leg? Somewhere that'd ship to Sweden as well of course. :P

Well I was thinking about the Spyderco Sharpmaker. :)

At least those were cheap at least.. wonder if they're any good.

Uuups, I thought you were looking for alternatives for it :D

Here's a thread over on BritishBlades from a passaround they did with the Taidea.

as for the Spydie Sharpmaker, the cheapest delivered one I know of is $75 off of eBay. It's still $20 less than I would pay for one locally. Or hunt the BST forums for used ones, but they usually get snatched up pretty quickly.

I looked around many places, and ended up with ebay.  I paid right around $50 w/shipping.  But it was not the first one I found...it took a few trys.

No problem mate, the Taidea seems pretty decent after all.

I suppose I could start out with that and get a Sharpmaker further down the line if I want to try something different.

Wish I'd thought of that when I ordered a few knives from Exduct like a week ago..

Just got the 763 I bougt from ebay a few days ago and I love it! Such a nice little knife. Can't believe that it's so cheap!

Oh and enki, thanks for letting me know about exduct a while ago. :)

I wouldn't be overly surprised if I end up buying more things from them in the future.
