Help me find a spyderco! (please)
on: October 22, 2012, 06:50:46 PM
Hello all, I have a challenge, and a challenge it m :gimme:ay prove to be to get help. I have a spyderco, and through google, I believe it is a c38 Jess Horn lightweight. It has a black frn handle with"Jess horn" all over it, with a circle with the weird spyderco above the spider and horn below it. The tip broke off mine, and I would love to get a new one. It is aus8, though the zdp version is an option. Pe or combo edge. Preferably under $70. Help! And thank you.

-Gary

If I send it in, is there a chance it'll be replaced? It was given to me by my dads best friend, who has since passed, and I'd rather it not just be exchanged for the modern equivalent

I would still send it in but I would email CS first and let them know it can't be replaced. You just want it fixed.

Broken tips aren't covered under Spyderco's warranty, it's considered abuse (this isn't anything new, most companies are like this).

You could try taking it to a knife shop and having them regrind a new a tip for you.  Shouldn't be that expensive plus you don't have send the knife in the mail.
