A SAK kind of day.
on: November 05, 2012, 12:26:59 AM
Okay, being the weekend, I had some things to get done, and it ended up a SAK kid of day. Firt off, I finished painting the downstairs bathroom, so the light switch plate and double electrical outlet cover had to be screwed back on. The screw driver on the recruit fit the slots perfectly.

Then came a minor repair out back, with a hole in the wood made by carpenter bee's earlier in the summer. With winter coming on, it was time to fix. The small can of plstic wood was pried open with the screw driver blade of the recruit and the stuff smoothed into the hole. Recruit did perfectly and no need to go looking for a putty knife.

Next up was some maintenance on the ceiling fan  in the bathroom. The small screw driver tip on the can opener of the recruit fit the phillips screw and I took down the fan from the ceiling to oil the shaft and clean the blades.

Yesterday had been a trip to the range day, so today there was a dirty Ruger 10/22 to clean. Agaain the recuit screw driver took down the rifle and reassembled after a good cleanup.

The lawn mower was winterized, and some Stabil was added to the gas tank. The foil seal under the plastic cap was cut out using my keyring classic. Windshield washer was filled up on both cars again using the classic to cut out the foil seal on the gallon jug of Rain X fluid.

My SAK made the day a little easier.
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.
