Sorry I dont have a picture of the bit holder in action, but the LM bit holder for the Kick/Fuse/Blast works far better. It sits snug on the philips driver, where as the Gerber one slides onto one of the flat drivers, and is held in place by a magnet, and has a silly amount of lateral play.Hope this helps

Hi Colt 1911, Kirk13 is right, the Leatherman bit adaptor is much better, solid and more sturdy in use, here's some pics :tu:
Gerber MP400, LM Fuse and Mr pinchy square phillips.

Would I be correct in assuming that the LM bit adapter fits the Octane as well?

FWIW there used to be an "old" Gerber adapter that worked with the 3d phillips. I know because I have one, and yes it also works on other 3d phillips designs. That said, you're probably better of grabbing one of those LM adapters, as they're more readily available and thus easier to source. :tu:

The Gerber kit is still easy to find on ebay and amazon among other places.   Fits on the phillips and works very well.

Not so sure about that actually.  I don't have a LM adaptor to try, but my Octane Phillips driver is rectangular rather than square in cross section and so my CRKT bit adaptor won't go on it. :-\

Just saw this thread (it's been a long, cold, dark week...  >:( ) and it looks like nobody has put the adapter to the test on the Octane.  I just tried it, and it does not work.  :(  It does, however, fit the Strata just fine.  :tu:

Thanks for testing the LM adapter out for us. Do one of the Gerber bit adapter/kits fit the Octane?

I took a look on Gerber's website last night, and none of their bit adapters list the Octane as one of the tools.  :(

Thanks JDevil. I still intend to get an Octane, eventually.
